Testimonials
As an intelligent, independently-minded and self-assured male with few hang-ups, I was very sceptical that coaching could be of any use to me.  However, when I was asked by Sue Rutson to act as her client as part of her coaching assessment, I came forward with 2 problems or concerns that had been bothering me for sometime.  These were not serious life-shattering problems, but, nevertheless, they were on my mind and I wanted to do something about them but lacked either the will or impetus to tackle them.  Sue’s skilful and gentle but remorseless questioning of my attitude towards these problems, and what I actually wanted to achieve, how important solving these issues were and what I could do about them, caused me to focus on the necessary steps required to solve the problem, and to lay in front of me a plan with target time scales.  The solutions were not difficult to achieve and I should have been able to sit down and work out for my self the steps to achieve the result I wanted, but the fact is I had not done so.  Only by Sue’s guidance in causing me to think through the ideas and her ability to make me answer the questions about my attitude to these issues, and how I might solve them, got me to a satisfactory solution.  I can see that had I more serious problems, or had I felt overwhelmed by a series of problems such that I was unable to work through them, this coaching would have enabled me to clarify my thoughts and to focus on what would needed to be achieved to discharge my concerns.
